PAPER WORKS
A playful and joyous celebration of the ordinary, these works become a montage of the ephemera of daily life, using colourful snapshots of visual communication, memories and observations. They combine the artist's own relief prints, photography and drawings with appropriated materials, such as vintage inspired packaging, signage and printed matter.
The collages explore contrasts of block colour, pattern, line, scale and type - emphasising the edges at which these juxtaposing elements play and interact.
Much of the imagery evokes notions of industry and the urban landscape, punctuated with themes of human connection and experience.
